The Bornean type specimen of vein-painted hoyas, plus four relatives that earn their shelf space.
Native to Sabah and Sarawak, where it climbs sandstone hills in lower montane forest. The leaves are long, leathery, and held almost flat, with dark green lateral veins painted across a paler field — the trait every other splash-leaf hoya is measured against. Flowers are pale yellow with a maroon corona, lightly fragrant at night. A slow starter that rewards a tall trellis and patience.
