A Peruvian giant with cathedral venation, plus four companion anthuriums that ask similar things of a grower.
Native to the foothills of central Peru, regale grows enormous heart-shaped leaves with bone-white primary veins on a matte, slightly puckered blade. Mature leaves can exceed four feet, held on long petioles that arch rather than climb. It's slow from seedling and unforgiving of stagnant roots, but a well-rooted plant pushes a new leaf roughly every six to ten weeks in good conditions. The crown sits at or just above the medium — bury it and you'll lose the plant.
